TESTIMONIALS

Here are a few words from my past clients:

My experience with Kim as a trainer was amazing! She did a great job bringing the group together in such a short amount of time. I felt safe and comfortable sharing personal experiences without fear of being judged. I have never liked role-playing so when I heard we would be doing role-playing exercises to learn the material, I was extremely nervous. However, because of the environment that Kim was able to create, I felt very comfortable role-playing and got so much out of it, including confidence in myself. Kim does an amazing job at balancing her training with education and fun. I learned so much from Kim and the other members, as well as about myself, that I wish we had another few weeks, if not months together.

Kindness and Passion - I took a CCAR training course with Kim in the first two weeks of January 2022. Not only did she thoroughly know the material being taught she also took it seriously. She called upon her personal experience in the field, giving students an idea of how to navigate the system and how to be the best advocate for our clients. I felt like my learning needs were considered and met as she had cultivated a safe environment - if a difficult topic drew upon a traumatic personal experience there was space held for each individual to process in their own way, if need be. I felt I could trust and learn from her - her openness and engagement with each student was key to a great learning experience. She was encouraging and genuinely excited for us. I’m blown away with the kindness, passion, and dedication Kim has for recovery and everything that comes with it.

“It was so good to hear from you and especially to know that you are doing the Spirituality course as I am so excited about this and THANKFUL that you are the one teaching it. Listen, I've always been kind of a "brown-noser" so to speak, embellishing just a little (LOL); however, I am truly not just saying this about you and your teaching methods as in YOU ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST...PERIOD. You are so knowledgeable about your subject matter, very competent but also down to earth and real, and in my opinion that makes for an EXCELLENT teacher and leader that you are; and I am most appreciative. So I won't overdo it today, but just know I think you are WONDERFUL, and I certainly hope you have spots left for the upcoming class starting October 10, 2025 on the CCAR Spirituality in Recovery Coaching training as I would like to sign up?”

I recently completed CCAR Recovery Coach training with Kim Hurd. This Pied Piper of Recovery created a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for me and my fellow students. The bonds that were created will last long beyond our brief time together. I gave up being surprised to find myself in this class or to see her leading it. My HP guided me there and there is where she helped me lay the groundwork for what will hopefully become my new career in this the "third chapter" of life. Kim remains our supportive and loving guide even beyond the class itself. She's going to remain one of the most beautiful Pied Piper's of my own recovery and I know she walks right there beside me.
